Systems HydroQual has developed nowcast/forecast marine modeling system tools for rapid deployment in coastal oceans, estuaries, rivers, ports and harbors to support military training operations and the oil, shipping and fishing industries. These tools were developed to allow for real-time and automatic data gathering and assimilation based on the availability of real-time weather data, streamflow information and other coastal ocean model inputs. The nowcast/forecast of hydrodynamic fields such as waves, currents, water temperature, salinity variations and suspended sediment, or transported chemicals can be presented in a variety of data formats for visualization or assimilation into other models. |
